Changes to CUMIS Home and Auto insurance program

You will receive written notice from CUMIS well in advance of the end of your coverage, with CUMIS letting you know when your coverage under your CUMIS Home or Auto policy will end. Depending on your policy’s expiry date, your coverage may be renewed one more time before it comes to an end.

Co-operators will provide information about new policy offers, designed to seamlessly replace your existing CUMIS policy with no break in coverage.

If you accept a new policy offer from Co‑operators¹, it will take effect as soon as your CUMIS policy expires to support a seamless transition from CUMIS to Co‑operators without any gap in coverage.

Should you not take a new policy with Co‑operators, make sure you arrange alternate coverage with another insurer that takes effect no later than 12:01 am on the date that your CUMIS policy expires.

If you are enrolled in pre-authorized payments for CUMIS Home and Auto, we’ll share your payment information with Co‑operators to enable a seamless transition. No further action is required, but we recommend a careful review of your new documents to note any changes in your payment frequency, deduction date, and amount.

If you pay on an annual basis, you only need to review your documents and pay the Co-operators invoice to accept your new policy offer.
